Hi, I'm Natosha (aka The Frugal Student)

I am so excited to share with you my blog. This blog is for any individuals that have a love of home decor, love completing DIY's, love learning new things and I most importantly love life in general. This blog will provide you with details of self-completed DIY's (including instructions and more importantly photographs), organization tips as well as updates on my own personal home decor and most likely lots of little stories which provide information into my life as a student.  Being a student means limited funds for extra items (such as those for home decor). It is more this reason that I have learned to complete DIY's, engage in home decorating and save money in other areas of my life by being frugal. I will show you some tricks and tips along the way where money can often be saved.

To be completely honest, I am not sure what I am expecting to achieve from creating a blog (perhaps a sense of accomplishment), but either way I am hoping that it will grow into something useful and interesting for you. 

About Me

I grew up in the small town of Trenton Ontario with my parents and my younger brother, Nathen. Both of my parents were very loving and kind and taught me the importance of family, friends and love. My Mom is my role model, super hero and best friend. She has taught me the importance of being kind, humble and honest. She has the biggest heart of anyone that I know. My Dad was also a important role model for me. I grew up as his little girl and continue to be (even at the age of 22). I am constantly surrounded by family and friends who love and support me and encourage me to be a better person every day.

I am a student who has just completed two Undergraduate Degree's at Carleton University in Ottawa. My first degree is in Criminology. My second is a Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and Law. I am now continuing my education at St. Lawerence College where I will receive a diploma in Behavioural Science Technology. "My career goal is what?" you might ask. And this simple answer is this. I am not 100 percent sure. The only thing I am sure of is that I want a career where I can help people and hopefully make a difference in life or two. 

Mike and Myself

Along with being a student, daughter and friend, I consider myself to be a mother. Now I am not a mother of children (although I truly wish I was!), I am a mother of two amazingly beautiful dogs. My oldest dog is Oscar and he is a trouble raising beagle. My youngest dog is a sweet and shy Sheltie named Toby (pictured above).  I also am the girlfriend to an amazing person, Mike. He is the father of my children (hehe) and a exceptional person who is fun, honest, loyal and loving.
